Birthday Blast Card

I recently had a class on Birthday cards and one of the cards we made was using the Birthday Blast bundle from Stampin’ Up. There is a trick to getting the die to cut at the top and bottom of the card.  Using a piece of grid paper I lined up the die at the top of the Tempting Turquoise card stock which was 4 x 5 1/4 and cut using the big shot.  Flip the die to the bottom of the card and line up using the grid paper and cut again.  The grid paper helps in lining up the die and also finding the center of the card stock so that the stars line up, top and bottom.  I also used a piece of glimmer paper to add a little pop to the card using our layering ovals framelits. With the leftover stars I used them inside the card to add some fun, of course I always need to add some glitter and used our Wink of Stella pen. This is a simple card to make, just need to take a few minutes to line up the die with the grid paper to get a whole new look.
