Birthday Blooms Cards Color Challenge

Our Stampin’Up’s Paper Craft’s team has a monthly challenge with our demonstrators in making cards. This months challenge is that we use 2 of the 3 colors which were Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach and Cajun Craze, I love these challenges. I decided to use all three and used the Birthday Blooms stamp set and water colored the flower. I love this stamp set but do not like to fussy cut but was worth the outcome of the card.  Since I did not use water color paper, I used our Whisper White paper which works when you water color, the key is to not over saturate the paper.

I used the ink that was in the lid of our ink pads and picked up the color with our Aqua brush.  It took two coats of the Peekaboo Peach and accented with Cajun Craze and the leaves were with our Old Olive and of course I had to add our Wink of Stella for some bling.  I used our Labels Framelits and made the different layers and the background was stamped with Soft Suede using the flower stamp.   I made a banner across the card using Cajun Craze and Embossed the Very Vanilla with our Softly Falling  Folder to add some texture.   I loved how the card turned and and was surprised on how well all three colors worked together.
