Totally Trees

I am so excited for fall so I decided to create a couple of cards to welcome the cooler weather.  I started with Stampin’ Ups Totally Trees stamp set out of our new Holiday Catalog.  I love this stamp set with all of the different tress that you can make out of this set.

9-16

For the first card I used Bermuda Bay card stock and cut this to 5 ½ x 8 ½ scoring this in half at 4 ¼.  Next layer was Sweet Sugar Plum cutting this to 4 ½ by 3 and then the top layer using Whisper White 4 ¼ x 2 7/8.  Using two different trees I stamped the tree base using Early Espresso and the tree colors are Sweet Sugarplum, Pear Pizzazz and Bermuda Bay.

I embossed the base card only putting in ½ of the card to create this effect using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

On the inside I cut a piece of Whisper White to 5 1/4 x 4 and stamped the inside using one of the trees on the right bottom corner

The second card I used traditional colors for the card and using only one tree.  Cutting a piece of Whisper White for the card base to 4 ¼ by 11 and scoring at 5 ½.  The second layer was a piece of the DSP out of the Holiday Catalog called Halloween Night cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 I like this paper due to it is has a lot of the fall colors in it.  The final layer is cut to 5 x 3 ¾ which is Whisper White.

I stamped the tree base in Early Espresso and used Pumpkin Pie, Emerald Envy and Crushed Curry for the trees and cut a piece of Emerald Envy for    4 ¼ by 7/8.  Embossed the sentiment using our gold embossing powder.  Of course I stamped a tree inside of the card on the bottom right.
