My New Years resolution was to launch my new business in 2021 and now that I am finished designing, Welcome to my new Paper Craft blog. I wanted to update you on my progress and tell you a little bit about me. I have been crafting for over 10 years and have learned so much.
It all started with my friend Laurie inviting me to be a guest at her Stampin’ Up club. I was hesitant at first (I am not artistic) she described on how much fun she was having and showed me a sample of her cards, so after that I decided to give it a try. I showed up to the class very nervous (remember I am not artistic) and was welcomed by 6 wonderful women! Our host had everything prepared and all we had to do is stamp and put them together.
Wow I had so much fun, I asked when is the next class and put it on my calendar. By the second class I was learning so much I wanted to sign up for the club and asked when they would be accepting new members (I had to wait for 3 months but kept attending the class as a guest). Bam, I was hooked and have been making cards ever since. 6 months later I signed up as a demonstrator so I could get the discount.
One thing leads to another and found a wonderful store where I lived (Shreveport, Louisiana) and began attending their classes and meeting other crafters. After a few months I was asked to be one of the designers for the store and then started teaching others to make cards. I gained a few customers through this networking and loved the interaction with other women.
Things change in life, so we moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in July of 2015. I was so bummed! Having to start over and determined to continue my creative path. Then I found my new upline Elaine Pelletier. After finding our new home and have been with her ever since. I have met many new friends and fellow crafters in joining her team. Elaine and I are now partners with our business and now run Crops, Classes and Retreats.
This year Elaine and I decided it was time to grow on my own to spread my wings and now I am launching my new Blog, Newsletter and Facebook Page, Cindy’s Cards and More. I am still partners with Elaine in our business but will be doing my own articles, videos etc. My specialty is Quick and Easy cards where if you are a beginner you will enjoy the instructions, if you are a seasoned card maker you will like that you can make multiple cards in a short time. I, also making handmade albums and have started to bullet journal.
My husband, Tom and I were married in 1995 and live with one fur baby, Coco Bean. I enjoy golf, do a little gardening (novice), love to watch birds and butterflies, and love to travel. Love to have your shop with me!
