Happy New Year to everyone! I am participating in my first blog hop and can’t believe the new year is already here and time for a new Occasion’s Catalog and Sale-A-Bration from Stampin Up. I love the new stamp set and bundles that are available so picked Cool Treats as one to start with.
Cool Treats is a bundle stamp set which has wonderful dies that goes with set and I used Melon Mambo and Pacific Point for my colors, making your standard size card 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 using half of an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of card stock cut in half on the 11″ side. I embossed the greeting in white and used the sprinkle stamp to give the paper some interest. Stamped the ice cream cones on a sheet of Whisper White cut to 2 1/2 by 5 1/2 alternating the two colors of Melon Mambo and Pacific Island and used Sahara Sand and Chocolate Chip for the cone. The second layer was Pacific Point cut to 2 3/4 by 5 1/2. Of course I used our Wink of Stella clear to highlight the ice cream on the cone. As you know I never leave a card blank on the inside and cut our of the cones to embellish it. This makes a cute Birthday card for any age who doesn’t like ice cream!
The second card I made was from the same stamp set, Cool Treats using Bermuda Bay as my color of choice and the Confetti embossing folder out of our main catalog, so I could highlight the ice cream cone. I made the same size card 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 but cut the card stock in half on the 8 1/2 inch side and folded. I used one of our sponge daubers and colored lightly over the embossed areas so that you could see the design. Using our Layering Oval Framelits I cut out of piece of our silver glimmer paper to bring focus on the cone. Using the same sentiment from the card above I stamped this inside the card using Bermuda Bay. Cute and simple card and did not take any time to make this.
