Garden Birdhouses

Garden Birdhouses is a wonderful stamp set with its rustic look. I love how they hand drew all of the images, perfect for our Stampin’ Write markers.

Garden Birdhouse with Brick Background

Using the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder I cut a piece of Basic White and embossed. Crumb Cake was a perfect color to use our Blending Brushes and color the brick so it looked old and giving it some shading. Cutting a piece of Basic White to 2 1/2 x 4 I stamped the birdhouse and pole with Early Espresso.

More instructions…

Using Sahara Sand I stamped the flowers and tree limb creating the scene. I then colored in the bird house with Magenta Madness and Costal Cabana. Coloring in the pole with Crumb Cake to finish the house. The flowers were colored in with Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Highland Heather and Bermuda Bay Stampin Write Markers. The leaf is Granny Green Apple as well as the grass below in the flowers and I used Early Espresso to emphasize the branches.

Then I cut out a mask of the birdhouse on a post it note. Placing this on the birdhouse I colored in the background with Balmy Blue giving it the highlight of the sky. Don’t worry about the Flowers and leaves, they were fine using the blending brush especially the flowers below. I used a lighter touch with this. Stampin the bird with Early Espresso I colored this with Bumblebee and then fussy cut out the image.

I then created two layers to highlight the scene with Misty Moonlight and Polished Pink. The base color is Costal Cabana. To finish off the card I wrapped the layer with the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon and tied a bow and used Blue Adhesive Back Gems.

Garden Birdhouse Hanging from Tree

Using another image from this set I decided to hang the Birdhouse from the tree. The colors are the same as above except for the leaves which I used Garden Green but I added more birds so more fussy cutting and added the Birthday Wishes sentiment to the front. Layers are Bermuda Bay and Bumblebee to highlight the scene.

Community of Garden Birdhouses

For the round house I used Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather, the tall skinny one Bumblebee and Daffodil Delight. The two alike houses the colors are Magenta Madness, Polished Pink, Bermuda Bay and Costal Cabana. The Base is Shaded Spruce.
