Quiet Meadow Frame Card

Quiet Meadow Frame Card is a fun one to make. Especially if you like to use our brushes and do some blending. You can make these into a card set and give them to a friend, they would make great thank you cards or do a variety of cards including a birthday for a gift.

Quiet Meadow Frame Card using a mask

Starting out with a piece of Basic White at 4 x 5 1/2 (or use can use a another piece of scrap cardstock to do this), I cut out a Rectangle using our Stitched Rectangle. With a piece of Post it Note tape or Painters Masking tape, I attached it to on top of a piece of Basic White to use as a template. This way the piece does not move when you are putting your ink on. Using your Blending Brushes, I chose Pool party to do some blending on the opening of the rectangle that I cut out. Blending around the edges I wanted to leave the middle with very little color so it would highlight the sentiment and add some interest.

Night of Navy is a good color to use for the sentiment, words, splash and flowers to stamp with. I embellished with some rhinestones and layered with Night of Navy onto a Pool Party base.

The next card I created used the flowers instead of the sentiment. Using the same blending technique with Calypso Coral and Early Espresso.

Quiet Meadow Frame card using our Decorative Mask

The Basic Pattern Decorative Mask Dots was the next card I created making my own background.

The Basic Pattern Decorative Mask Dots was the next card I created making my own background. I put the Mask over a piece of Basic White taping both pieces down with Painters Tape. Using an Ombre affect I colored with Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Evening Evergreen. I blended the color on with the Blending Brushes. Stamp the flower with Evening Evergreen putting a layer of Pale Papaya down as to show off your design.

Using the flowers, words and splash dots from the stamp set, stamp randomly on the Fresh Freesia cardstock. The size is (4 1/8 x 5 3/8) with the same ink color creating some interest in the background. Attach this layer on a piece of Evening Evergreen card base\. Cut the card stock at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Basic White with Pale Papaya ink. Attach the Evening Evergreen for your background using a die from the Hippo and Friends.
