Welcoming Woods

Welcoming Woods is a wonderful Stamp Set to add to your collection from our Holiday Mini Catalog. This can be made into several different seasonal cards. I used this stamp to turn into a fall as well as a winter themed cards. Even using a different Designer Series Paper went well with this stamp.

Fall theme Welcoming Woods

In this card I use both the stamp set from our Mini Catalog and the embossing folder from our main catalog, Evergreen Forest 3D. Using the Basic Card size, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4 I chose Crumb Cake and then used Pear Pizzazz to emboss the trees for my background, this size was 5 x 5 1/2.

To create the focal point for the card, I use a piece of Basic White at 3 1/2 x 4. With Soft Suede Ink I stamp the trees using most of the card. Mango Melody Ink is used to stamp the ground to give it that fall color. This is a unique stamp due to it has spacing that uses the trees so you can line it up. Blending with Pale Papaya with my blending brush at the top and Pumpkin Pie at the bottom I am creating a fall scene.

Using your Stampin’ Write markers I colored the small leaf stamp and then stamped the different leaf colors for the scene. I then layered this with Early Espresso 3 5/8 x 4 1/8. Be sure to watch my video below where I show you how I put this together and how to get the leaves in different colors. I also stamped the card base with Crumb Cake and the leaf stamp to create my own background. Finish off the card using the Gilded Gems.

Winter theme Welcoming Woods

This is a standard card using Night of Navy at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The Basic White layer is 5 1/4 x 4. This winter scene was created using Balmy Blue for the shading and snowflakes and Soft Suede for the trees. The shading is done with Balmy Blue using the blending brush. Embossing the ground with white embossing powder and used the stamp to create the double scene stamping it twice. This looks like there is snow on the ground. Stamping the snowflakes in Balmy Blue and then applied some Shimmery White embossing paste on the trees to give the look of snow on the trees.

Jungle theme Welcoming Woods

This is a Quick and Easy card using the In the Wild Designer Series Paper. The only piece that takes a few minutes in fussy cutting out the tiger. The card base is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 using Soft Succulent. I placed the card on the side so that it is 5 1/2 across and opens from right to left. Cut out a piece of the DSP at 4 1/8 x 2 and place on the left, On the right side of the card you will stamp the trees with Soft Suede. Then pop dot the tiger and place him on the card. Stamp the Hello Friend with Rich Razzelberry and then cut into a flag shape.
