In Symmetry

In Symmetry is a fun stamp to work with. You can make these stamps into flowers, make your own design as a pattern and of course design your own background paper.

Let’s Get Started using the Stamparatus

When designing your first card you will need your Stamparatus. This is a great tool for this technique. Cut a piece of Basic White at 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and place this on your Stamparatus. Mark where you start on the top left corner on your grid paper so you know where to place this again when you turn your paper. You will need to use your magnet the first time due to the paper will want to stick to the stamp. After this you will not need this do this to your stamp due to you are going to turn it.

Place your first flower at the top centering on your Basic White. At the top come down down a little over 1/4 of an inch. Stamp your first image with Highland Heather and then turn your Basic White paper and Stamp again. Keep doing this until you have your circle done with 4 images. I love how this design works and following the arch at the bottom of the stamp creating a circle.

Place your smaller image so it’s in between the flowers and do the same technique as above. Turn it until you have all 4 images stamping this with Polished Pink. Then stamp your flower in the middle with Just Jade. Cut your layer with Gorgeous Grape at 3 5/8 x 3 5/8.

Your next layer is with Sweet Symmetry Designer Series paper and cut this is 5 x 2 and layer with Highland Heather at 5 1/8 x 2 1/8.

You are almost done

Last fill in the right side of the card stamping some of the smaller images to fill up this area with Polished Pink (I like to use tone on tone). Glue down all of your layers and then stamp you “Thanks So Much” on the bottom right with Gorgeous Grape. I finished the card with some bling using our Rhinestones.

The inside of the card is your standard 4 x 5 1/2 with Basic White. Use the smaller leaves and tulip to create an image in the bottom right corner.

In Symmetry making a Flower

This is an easy card to make using the stamps and your block. Take the 1/2 flower image and stamp with Flirty Flamingo on a piece of Basic White at 2 3/4 x 4. This design will use the entire piece of Basic White so be sure and stamp your 1/2 flower at the top of the paper. Turn the flower and stamp at the bottom of your flower and this will give you a full flower. Next stamp the large leaves with Just Jade and Night of Navy. Last use the stem stamp with Just Jade and stamp. Finish this with Night of Navy Cardstock at 2 7/8 x 4 1/8 Layer.

Let’s make the background with the smaller images using Flirty Flamingo, Night of Navy, Bumblebee and Just Jade. Some of the images I stamped off once so they stamped at a different shade. Stamp these randomly until you get the look you want. Finish the front with Hey Friend and use the Happy Hippo Dies with Basic White and Night of Navy. I trimmed the Basic White around the stitched area so this would be smaller to layer. The Card base is 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2 with Night of Navy.

The inside is with Basic White at 4 x 5 1/4 and used the “You are Perfectly Unique saying in Flirty Flamingo. Finish this and made a flower using the smaller leaves and the medium flower image on the bottom right corner.

In Symmetry Larger Design Card

You can design this card using the same technique as the first card. The only difference is that I used most of the 3 1/2 Basic White edge to provide space for the 4 flowers in the middle. It’s all in the placement of your designs. I was able to place the small tulip on the middle between the flowers but still used the same rotating technique. The 4 small flowers is also done the way placing one and then again rotating. Used Calypso Coral, Just Jade and Bumblebee for your colors. The card base is Calypso Coral and the second layers for the paper is Just Jade. Of course you need to add some bling so I used the Artistry Blooms Sequins.

I love to show you different ways to make your cards. If you would like so see more be sure and subscribe to my blog and my newsletter.
